Ypsilanti is home to several breweries offering chill neighborhood vibes. Catch DJ nights and karaoke at 734 Brewing Company, local to its core, and open mic at Unity Vibration serving kombucha beer and tea. Ypsi Alehouse has award-winning beer on tap, live music, and a full food menu. Corner Brewery has a great beer garden and is family-friendly, and also offers vegan friendly menu options. Nearby is Meniacal Meadery, locally produced for mead lovers.

Bill’s Hot Dog Stand 

This yellow hot dog stand opened in the late 1930s and has been an Ypsi staple ever since. This summer tradition always hits the spot with their affordable coneys and famous root beer. Drive up, give your order, and enjoy! Cash only.  

Antonio’s Coney Island

Macheko Grill  

Mix up your dinner plans and head to Macheko Grill, a Korean BBQ restaurant where you become the chef! Pair different flavors with your meal for the ultimate flavorful experience. Macheko Grill also serves bibimbap, Shanghai hot pot, and Japanese ramen bowls. 

Thompson & Co. 

From skillet cornbread to pan-seared salmon, Thompson & Co. offers southern-inspired rations and plates. Try the craft cocktails or zero-proof drinks, and make reservations for Sunday brunch.   

 Cuppy’s Best Soul Food

Ypsilanti is known for some of the best soul food in the area, including Cuppy’s Best. This beloved business welcomes you like family with a fun and memorable dining experience. The food is fresh and made with love. Try it on your next night out!  

Basil Babe  

Serving Thai specialties, this eatery began as a pop-up across the Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and Detroit area.  Now, Basil Babe is happy to call Ypsi home. Expect fresh, hot dishes like the pad Thai and OG Basil Stir Fry. The menu changes weekly allowing us to try something new with every visit. 

Ma Lou’s Fried Chicken  

This quick-service restaurant was recently recognized for having the best chicken sandwiches in Michigan. Ma Lou’s offers chicken by the piece, wings, sides, desserts and everything to complete your order, plus varying flavors and levels of spice.  

Aubree’s Pizzeria 

With two locations in the Ypsilanti area, this delicious pizza spot has been in business for over 50 years. After dining in at the Depot Town location head to the upstairs bar, Stick’s, for darts, pool, and weekly karaoke.
