What is Little Eagles?
The Little Eagles Summer Enrichment Program focuses on the development of language and social skills through small group work and activities.
-Occupational therapy group instruction focusing on handwriting, coordination, and school prep.
- Speech therapy group instruction focusing on pragmatics & working cooperatively with peers. -
-Healthy living activities that include gardening, cooking, and exploring new foods.
-Music group instruction focusing on language and learning skills with movement.
Little Eagles is ideal for children ages 6-10 that are typically in general education settings at school with minimal supports, please see below for details.
-Students should be able to effectively communicate their wants and needs and demonstrate early classroom and group skills.
-Students should be able to toilet and feed themselves as well as participate in group activities/instructions without a 1:1 support staff
-Because Little Eagles is not designed to support children 1:1, we are unable to accept those with significant behavioral/emotional needs requiring individualized behavior support plan.
-A pre-screening meeting with a BCBA is required for new clients that would like to participate to ensure they are a good fit for the group. During this appointment the BCBA will perform a brief parent interview. Please plan to bring a copy of your child’s IEP, any clinical assessments or treatment notes, and examples of work completed at school to this meeting.
