The critically acclaimed, award-winning The SpongeBob Musical, declared “Brilliant!” by The New York Times, will play the Fox Theatre in The District Detroit for 8 performances starting Tuesday, December 24 through Sunday, December 29 as part of the 2019-20 Theatre Series.

Due to unforeseen tour scheduling, The SpongeBob Musical will now play the Fox Theatre starting on Tuesday, December 24 through Sunday, December 29. Refunds are available at point of purchase for the originally announced December 31 through January 5 performances. Tickets purchased through either Ticketmaster or 313 Presents via box office, phone or on-line will be automatically refunded.

Led and conceived by visionary director Tina Landau (2018 Tony Award® nominee) and a Tony Award®-winning design team, the production brings the spirit of SpongeBob to life with humanity, heart, and pure theatricality. The SpongeBob Musical features a book by Kyle Jarrow, orchestrations and arrangements by Tom Kitt, musical supervision by Julie McBride and Tim Hanson, and choreography by Christopher Gattelli. The design team includes scenic and costume design by David Zinn, lighting design by Kevin Adams, projection design by Peter Nigrini, sound design by Walter Trarbach, hair and wig design by Charles G.
