How would you describe Ypsilanti in 3 words?
Eclectic, Authentic and Warm: Whoever you are, you are welcome!
Why Ypsi?
It started off Ypsi because my girls had made this their home and graduated from Eastern Michigan University. It became my home after learning so much about the history of the city and feeling the love from the local community about their city.
Ypsilanti has one of Michigan’s largest historic districts and holds history recognized by landmarks, signage, and of course, historic homes. Click here to view our “Where Heritage Meets History” in Ypsilanti feature.
What can you share about Ypsilanti that only a local would know?
We are grateful to have a mass transit system and Ypsilanti Transit Center in the city . The Tap Room has great wings, the Regal Beagle has great Barbecue, Ziggy's is poppin’, Cuppy’s is the place to go for Soul Food, Blackstone Bookstore has a great variety of good reads, and we all agree we need our skating rink back!
What’s new at Hinton Real Estate Group?
Starting June 1, I am offering home loans. I added the home loans to give my clients a full experience and to help them with all the understandings of a purchase transaction. What is something you are looking forward to this year?
There are several new businesses coming to downtown Ypsilanti this year, and of course all the people who come in for the annual Jazz festivals! Click for upcoming events.
Good things are happening here all the time. What’s good in Ypsi?
Ypsilanti has a great variety of properties to choose from. You can buy the newest construction with ‘green’ features to some of the oldest historical buildings with great history here. The variety of festivals are good, and of course the people. The people are really what’s good in Ypsi.
